Mmmm, good topic! There are quite a few songs that are better to listen to in the car than in other situations. The passing motion of all the things around you kind of serves as a real-life music video of sorts

Some of the ones I like, mostly classic rock since I especially like listening to the aucoustics while driving:

"Runnin Down a Dream" - Tom Petty

"Two Tickets to Paradise" -Eddie Money

"Free Bird" - Lynyard Skinner

"Hold the Line" - Toto

"White Wedding" - Billy Idol

"Eminence Front" - The Who

"Viva la Vida" - Coldplay

And now that I think of it "Clocks" would be a good song for the car listening Neptune, I'll have to do that sometime :sol:

JBMX4C, I am the same way. The best song for a freeway onramp is, of course, "About To Crash (Reprise)."
For those who don't know this amazing band, here is a live recording:

Great topic! I usually listen to:

Anything in the genre of Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Hardcore Punk, Heavy Blues...

Songs? I listen to hundreds of bands and musicians, I can't really be as specific to name my top 10 whilst in the car. :aidantai:

How about my top 10 bands I listen to the most?

Pantera
Slayer
Anthrax
Megadeth
Venom
Napalm Death
Bathory
KISS
Immortal
Mayhem

And a whole load more. Constantly brake the speed limit! :ddr555:

Aw, man. There are some really good ones, but to ask about my favorite songs for the road is like asking for my favorite songs in general

So(sighing heavily) in no particular order...

1)Velocity Girl: Go Costal(Recommended for roads like Ocean Parkway on Long Island, I-95 in Georgia, or the Chesapeake Bay Bridge & Tunnel).
2)Foo Fighters: Alone + Easy Target.
3)Rancid Polecats: Peterbilt.
4)Go-Go's: Speeding.
5)Rush: Dreamline(I agree with 58_Roadmaster).
6)Living Colour: Crosstown Traffic(Yes, the Jimi Hendrix cover).
7)America: Ventura Highway.
8)Sammy Hagar: I Can't Drive 55.
9)Motley Crue: Kickstart My Heart.
10)Arggh! Too many to choose from!
