I've only used Strongbow, that is different ointment.
Yes, and my nickname comes from Japanese animation/comics wheelman created by Kenichi Sonoda.

Today I had to think about IMCDB and to lough. My wife brought "stronghold" at home - it's an ointment against cat's mites and fleas.
firebird86
And I still own the 1986 Pontiac Firebird, its a showcar now, 500hp 30 over 350 4 bolt main, 5 speed T-5, 3:73 posi rear. It gets about 6 mpg, but I dont care, Im having fun.
Animatronixx
Ingo is my regular given name

Same here. And no, it´s really not so utterly common over here to be named like this. :clindoeil:

In many cases I don´t use nicknames. I do on IMCDb, because there already was an Ingo. But what the hell means "Animatronixx"???

I know, almost nobody can spell my user name from memory, but it´s in fact quite simple, if you know the story behind.

My favourite band is the German band Kraftwerk, largely known by their international hits "Autobahn", "Radioactivity" or "The Model". Well, this band has the habit not always to perform by themselves - and so they sometimes put four roboters on the stage instead, imitating the real band members.

I simply love that style and thus my nickname is dedicated to these roboters, or - like they are technically called - animatronics.

The "x" instead of "cs" is just a style-thing and when I found out that many people already had the same idea, I decided to add another "x" to the end. Up to now it seems like I am the only internet user with that double-x-version. :sol:

Alright?

Oh, by the way: In several message boards people started to call me just "Tron" instead of writing the full nickname - and that´s OK for me.
ford_guy
I came up with mine sort of on the spot. When I first discovered IMCDb, I would just come on as an observer and didn't really join. However, one night I finally decided to join when I kept on seeing numerous mistakes/errors being made while ID'ing vehicles. But when it came time for my username, I hadn't really thought of one before. So since Ford is my favorite automaker out there (despite their current flaws/stupidity), it came as natural for me. I figured it would be self-explanatory.
Neptune
Mine is nothing more than from me being fascinated by astronomy. As a youngster in school I loved the ocean blue planet Neptune. I loved it's pristine blue color. Would you believe as a kid, I wanted to be a astronaut and go there? – silly me ...

And Wickey too (perhaps a nickname?).

As a child of the 70ies, I thought immediately at that TV-series:
http://www.wickie.de/
but it's written different and it was only the German name of the Swedish "Vicke Viking". And probably wickey is too young to know "Wickie".
G-MANN
Back on topic, I sometimes wonder where sixcyl took his name from (six cylinders yes, but why?) And Wickey too (perhaps a nickname?).

It's similar to riding a fixed gear bike in my opinion (this means there is no coasting and you must pedal faster downhill). Then back-pedaling or skid stops make it able to stop (if you're a daredevil and don't have brakes). It's all about having more control over the vehicle and becoming one with it. Fixed gear bikes make it possible to do track stands (which is helpful at stoplights, you can keep the bike in one place without taking your foot out of the toe clip). For cars I think a manual (based on the times I've done it in my dad's Honda) would make driving a lot more enjoyable.

Why do you want a manual? They are so fussy and distracting  I know some people think they're fun, but to me they're just a chore :ohwell:
