Is is possible to identify as minimum the region by the style of the architecture? So you are coming closer.

I don't know, how it's in France, but at pictures of German villages and towns it can be possible, if you know a bit about architecture an local styles.

Unfortunately, there are hundreds of thousands of villages looking like this one in France, and except someone living or coming from this one could help you.

I figured that since there are a number of users from France here, maybe somebody would be able to tell where this photograph was taken of a World War I monument.
