"thumbnail for forums" is the name of a link given by imageshack, it is not common to all services.
Maybe picasa provided something similar though.
Note that for the contributions on the forum, you can simply give the link to the file (i.e. the http://....jpg and nothing more, as long as they provide a direct link to the picture), having the picture displayed on the page is not mandatory.

I have found out myself. You take the code from the image-service.(in my case "picasa" and "embed picture". The code is not interpreted in the "imcdb" however.
So I have uploded the pictures instead.
