Hello everyone, I just stumbled across the car I have owned for 27 years on this site. It was the first Pacific Avatar convertible conversion Mazda Rx7 and was the star of the 80's film " Smokey Bites the Dust ". I aquired the car at fifteen years old from Rotary Specialties in Bakersfield California and it is still in my garage. I had never seen the magazine articles on the car until browsing this site. I have kept a copy of the movie over the years and have always enjoyed sharing it with friends. And then of course take them for a nice drive after watching it.
