Still not a Cricket. Boot is too long, front wheel arch wrong shape, rear bumper too high, B-pillar trim was not solid chrome, no vents along rear door edge etc - see http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/503/pdvd02bju4.jpg/ for instance. As above, it's a US-build car of some sort - Plymouth or whatever.

I don't think it's a Cricket (as in rebadged UK Avenger) - length looks wrong, even allowing for distortion, and angle between boot and rear window should be smooth. It's a US-build car of some sort - Plymouth or whatever.

I found a better picture on-line.
It is clearer - the tail-lights are the hard part to distinguish. From this angle, it looks like the trunk is elongated, true. My Crickets had a transition point when looking from this angle. From the side, the change appeared to be minimal. Except for the chrome appearing 'B' pillar, the rest of the lines and there appears the be the vent in the 'C' pillar just like the Cricket.
I wish there is a front-shot. That would make or break this guess.
