It is a possibility too...

Indeed that article seems to announce its arrival
No commercial documents in French, though?

One conflicting example:
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_209445-Renault-5-1984.html
Is it an older model? Or a newer one with a modified badge?
Or did both 5 & LeCar coexist?

I'm not sure using "5" as chassis code is good, as a few of them have their real chassis code (R122-something)

Maybe we should ask french-speaking Canadians if they know more ? But I do remember seeing a very rusty Renault 5 during my trip to Québec, back in 2001. Could it be that it continued to be called Renault 5 in the Belle Province only ?

For all "Lynk & Co 01"
Origin: Sweden
Built in China
Made for EU.
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-Lynk+%26+Co_model-01.html

From AleX_DJ.
"The Lynk & Co. 01, 02 and 03 are Swedish designs. They were developed by CEVT, Geely's European R&D centre based in Gothenburg, which has been operating under the Zeekr brand since 2024. The centre is usually responsible for chassis and software development for Geely, but in the case of the first three Lynk & Co. models it was responsible for the entire car design.

An interview with some of the project's engineers: Link to "newsroom.notified.com""

It doesn’t seem so simple, it seems that for a period the names "5" and "LeCar" were conjoined in Canada.

Yes, I agree.
