Indeed, if the truck is a "normal" model with just a crane added to it, and that the vehicle is listed with the model name of the truck, it should be listed as a normal truck.

I have a question/ suggestion
from time to time small cranes pop up which are mounted on normal commercial trucks instead of purpose build carriers
shouldn't this vehicles perhaps go in simple truck category ?
