Nice. Always find these intriguing as they are different to the Euro Passat.

Congratulations
night cub
After 15 years, I'm finally replacing my blue 2008 Volkswagen Passat Lux.

My new (to me) is also a blue Passat. This one is a 2021 R--Line [NMS]

I test drove it yesterday and started the buying process. I pick it up next week. It runs really smooth and has all the features that I am used to, plus newer tech. It was a low--mileage, one-owner car that has a clean CarFax and was regularly maintained.

While I was there, I also test-drove a Mazda CX-5 to see if I wanted to make the switch to a crossover, and while it seemed good, it just didn't have the feel of the Passat. So I guess I'm not ready to go that route.

I love my old Passat, but it was getting too old to keep. Both front fenders are rusting out, the clearcoat is peeling and the paint is worn through in a couple places, the headliner is drooping, and some other nagging things have started to appear. It still runs well. I just had a oil change and some other regular maintenance done. The car looks like hell, which is a shame because she was really nice looking when I bought it in 2011. But it is time.

... and indeed it has a BH in the code, so it was made in France

I'll check.
I suppose indeed they made one batch of these, as the color was available only for a few months

From the VIN some sites say it is not valid, others give Toyota France but with wrong year
However in the "certificat de conformité", Toyota France is mentioned.

There's another way to know. Somewhere, maybe on the manufacturer's plate, or in the official forms, there's a production code beginning with the chassis code MXPH11, followed by L, a dash and six letters. If those letters begin with BH, it's made in France ; if they begin with CH, it's czech.

Meanwhile, I've seen two metallic orange Yarises in my area, including one with a black roof. They must have built all of them in one batch.

Better indeed

A very good choice of antp color, both colorful but without too much extravagance.
The seller’s anecdote reminds me of the exchange with my mother. She will change her 1999 Peugeot 106 for a latest generation Suzuki Swift. His first color choice was Antracite Grey with black roof and rear-view mirrors. But I told him, this is going to make another gray car in this world of black, gray or white cars.
She did tell me you’re right, in the end, the choice of color is this.

No, it was mostly because we each had a car and never using both at the same time. The reason of buying a new one is because we wanted to sell the two cars while they had some value. For 2030 the euro 5 engines can't run in Brussels, like now older ones can't be used here, it will probably decrease much their value close to that date.
The Yaris Hybrid being newer one will be still usable at least up to 2034,if we keep it that long. In 2035 they plan to ban gas vehicles in Brussels but we don't know yet if it will really happen (will it be feasible? Quite far to know).
And why a Yaris instead of a 208? Because Peugeot became too expensive, the Yaris Hybrid was at the same price.
