14 makes... that represents a lot of cans attached to rear bumpers ...

The merge is still unsure (the European Commission fears a possible monopoly in the small commercial vehicle sector), but the name is already known: if existing, the FCA/PSA combined company will carry the Stellantis name.
This name will only be used as corporate brand, and the names and logos of the group’s makes won't change.

While the Renault-Nissan Alliance is apparently hitting a rough patch, the engagement between PSA and FCA seems to be happening in "little ponies and rainbow" mode. The expected divorce of the Sevel joint venture will eventually not occur (or at least not until a few years)...
But even if preparing for a happy marriage, PSA/FCA will have some work to do in the next months/years in order to optimize their union: for now, the wannabe 4th world automotive builder has to deal with 14 makes, 22 platforms, and 54 factories. Not to mention 2 Renault based vans (Opel Movano & Fiat Talento)...

My mistake, I used wrong terms: the 10-year plan was unveiled in 2016, and the 1st step took place last year.

Car and Driver had articles about this story this week. They are talking about returning for the 2026 model year, so about 6 years out. The emphasis is supposed to be on hybrid and electric cars, but no models have been planned or announced.

Peugeot is (slowly) coming back to North America:
http://www.french-cars-in-america.com/2019/02/official-press-release-peugeot-brand-back-into-usa-and-canada.html
The 10-year plan started in late 2018 in Whashington D.C. with Free2Move, a car sharing service using (for now) non-PSA vehicles.

Renault is apparently already back in Canada since 2016, but only with the Twizy, for now.

I guess this means Mitsubishi will finally have a new Lancer, or at least a different one from the one we've seen for the last decade. But I think the main consequences will be utility vehicles. Mitsubishi and Nissan already supply each other with vans for the japanese market, but will they keep their own range of pickups and SUVs in the future ? The current Navara and L200 are recent, and are spawning derivatives for Fiat, Renault and Mercedes-Benz. But what about in ten years' time ? Will there be one common design for these five brands ?

(I didn't find any existing thread about it. This kind of info can certainly help to explain why some vehicles appear or disappear from the market, and thus from the movies...)

Not an extra-fresh new, but I am certainly not the only one who missed it: Nissan purchased a controlling 34 percent stake in Mitsubishi last October. Will we see Nissan Lancers, Mitsubishi Sanderos or Renault Pajeros1 (mix makes and products so it fit your needs  ) in movies based in South America, Africa or Asia, depending on which make has the better market shares in the concerned markets?
