There were 2 "seasons" - 1st one with old Rolls, 2nd one with two RRs - old and newer model.
Remember this series - I also saw it in TV in 1990

Wow, that was a quick reply, thanks a lot! Nevertheless, your first suggestion is too new while the other one is too old. As I said, I'm pretty sure it was a French series, rather light-hearted although the main character was always involved in solving crimes. Besides, I don't think the car was a Silver Cloud as I'm convinced it had double headlights although my memory might deceive me. Still, I'm certain it wasn't filmed in the States.

Dear members,
here's something that came to me mind recently and I would like to ask for your help. In ca. 1989, I frequently used to watch a (probably French) television series which was about the adventures of the chauffeur of a (silver?) Rolls Royce (probably a Phantom VI IIRC). Sadly, I cannot recall the name of the series after all these years. Does somebody happen to remember the series? Please let me know if that is the case. Thanks a lot in advance!
