I am trying to identify a movie I saw as a child: It is about crooked car dealers in 1950's Britain. It was in colour and there is one scene that stands in my memory: A man and a woman are in a luxury car. It is white and red and has spats covering the rear wheels. It is something along the lines of a Daimler, Alvis, Armstrong-Siddeley or Bentley. Someone has tampered with the brakes and as the man is driving briskly through the countryside a flat-bed truck pulls across their path... Screams and screeching of tyres and cut to an ambulance and hospital. Any ideas?
