So I have been looking around trying to find some movies that specifically deal with car/street racing besides the fast and the furious trilogy. You can post up your favorite general car movies too if you want to give suggestions. I know about Bullitt, haven't seen it yet tho, which I should. Anyway, so what do you all think?

Vanishing Point..a man a Challenger and driving

Smokey and the Bandit, 1 & 2 if you like 78 Firebirds..Transams that is.

There's a race scene in Grease.

yep, that one was pretty cool I think

"Two lane Blacktop", - movie is about drag racing - poor movie but about cars and racing.

Lots of cars and chases in "Its a mad mad mad mad world"

"The great race" period piece about a new york to Paris race in the early 1900's.

"Grand Prix" that about says it.

"The Gumball Rally" crap movie about a coast to coast car race.

"Death Race 2000" you get points for killing people in this race. Ultra bad movie


That should hold you for a while.

P.S. Great cars and a street drag race in "american Graffiti".

Used Cars is another good car movie but don't watch it if you love 57 Chevies. Its a comedy made about 1980.

Also, the opening scene of Cars.

Aussie films "Midnite Spares" and "Running on Empty" are worth watching if you can find them overseas. Also did anyone know that the black Chev in "Two Lane Blacktop" is the same car driven by Harrison Ford in "American Graffiti"

I mentioned "Eat My Dust" on the "Grand Theft Auto" page, but there's also "Mother, Jugs & Speed" which features Bill Cosby driving a customized Chevrolet G-Series ambulance.
