What do you think are the ugliest cars ever made? Can include concept/show cars. Feel free to post pictures. Here is my list of the most ugly cars ever:
10: First Generation Chevrolet Aveo 5-door (aka Jelly Bean)
9: Tie, between 2006 Renault Megane and 2007 Honda Civic Type-R 3-door hatchback.
2007 Civic
2006 Megane
8: Scion xB
Jay Leno inspired. Basically its a cardboard box on wheels. Ugly, weak, slow, unsafe, unreliable and not as roomy as you might expact.
7: First generation Fiat Multipla
6: smart Fortwo
Anybody ever see that old movie 'Gremlins'? This car brings back unpleasent memories...
5: Toyota Yaris
The Yaris is without a doubt the ugliest compact car. On top of that, it is not even that good of a car under the hood and inside the body like most ugly cars.
4: Pontiac Aztek
Although it introduced many innovative features in design and interior, it lacked three things: Power, Utility and acceptable looks. 2001-2004.
3: Acura Advanced Sedan Concept (2006, Las Angeles)
According to InsideLine editors: "A mixed-bag design exercise with a mysterious nose."
2: Third Generation Honda CR-V (2007+)
Where did Honda go wrong? The CR-V was a great little SUV, untill this happened. Why?
1: Subaru B9 Tribeca
I once had nightmares about that car, before I first saw the Ford Tempo. It is just so, so wrong. What they tried to do, was take a 1957 Edsel Corsair front end, make it aerodynamic for the 21st century, then put it on a sedan platform (Legacy, which seems to be Subarus only platform), stretch it, lower it so it can not offroad or rally and then stuck a god awful engine in it that is no bigger then a 1992 Tempo GLS engine. It makes the Pontiac Aztek look stunning. And, on top of all this, it is super overpriced. Starting at $30,000! You can get a Explorer XLT, not even the base model, for $25,000. And for $2,000 more you can buy a Explorer Limited which is better in every way. V8 power, similar MPG, more room, more features, etc.

Arranged in order from the least ugliest, to horribly ugly.
1988 through 1994 model Chevrolet C/K Series pickup
I still love the 1973 through 1987 model C/K Series pickups’… However I thought the All-New 1988 model was ugly when it first came out, but eventually I got use too the new look. I liked it a lot better after the grille restyling for the 1995 model year.
2002 through 2005 model BMW 7-Series
I loved the previous generation, but when the All-New 2002 models came out, I thought the bulky rear end and trunk lid were absolutely hideous. I love the car now after the 2006 restyling treatment.
2005 through 2007 Dodge Dakota
I just don't like the front end… Need I say more?
2008 Ford F-Series Super Duty
I like it when it first came out, but over the years the grille has gotten bigger and bigger. Now the front grille just looks weird.
2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Looks good from the front… Looks like throw-up from the back…
2009 Toyota Land Cruiser
I love the 1998 though 2007 model Toyota Land Cruiser, I even own a 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser. It’s current design is classic, yet still advanced for it’s time. It’s liken to a toned, muscular athlete, healthy and strong. However the All-New Toyota Land Cruiser has put on some serious bulk. It looks like it has been on a weekend food binge…
2007 Lincoln Navigator
Oh my God, Lincoln what were you thinking?
That's all I can think of right now ...
Thank's Neptune

Dude... I disagreed with every car you listed but the two Toyota's. The Navigator is stunning, and elegant with its use of chrome (chrome, best thing on cars). The Expedition looks awe some, so does the old Chevrolet trucks, the 2008 Ford Super Duty trucks and the Dakota, 2002-2006 Silverado and 2007 Tahoe are exceptable, and definetly not ugly.

Dude... I disagreed with every car you listed
That's the problem with such listing. I think that for each car you will find people that dislike it, and that for each car you will also find people that like it.
So debating on what is ugly or not is a endless discussion, as the uglyness is, in most of the cases, very relative and depends on the tastes of everybody.
When you say "The Navigator is stunning, and elegant with its use of chrome", I rather agree with Neptune saying that this Lincoln is ugly
For that reason when doing a topic like this one it is quite useless to try to convince others that the cars that they mention as ugly are in fact beautiful. To take an example from "your" cars, I like that new Civic
For my part, those that I really find ugly are quite rare. Very rare.
From these mentionned above, there is the Fiat Multipla, the Subaru B9 Tribeca and the Ssangyong Rodius.
I'll add the Rexton
and especially the Actyon, still from Ssangyong
or the Nissan Murano
I could find others, but those that I mentionned are problably those that I like the least (from the recent cars, tough I do not think that there are some in older models that I dislike as much as those that I mentionned).
I know that the Pontiac Aztek is one of the most hated cars, but I actually find it good looking.

Interesting topic! I have some cars that I find ugly...I post the first that I can remember.
10. 2006 Nissan Maxima
9.Ssangyong Actyon
8. Daewoo Tacuma
7. Renault Vel Satis
6. Daihatsu Materia (a Toyota bB sold here in Italy)
Sorry, I can find only a Toyota bB pic.
5. Honda That's
4. Nissan Murano
3. Kia Oprius
2. Subaru B9 Tribeca
1. Ssangyong Rodius
I don't find so ugly the SUVs that Neptune posted, but I agree on the BMW 6er/7er E63/E64/E65/E66: they are the less attractive and good-looking BMWs in the whole history. I don't like Bangle's design. Also the E90 is slightly less good than the older E46.
Although, I like all BMWs on the road...

Customized cars and prototype do not count, you have to take them from regular production cars, else it is too easy to find lots of ugly things

Good idea for a thread! I'll have to have a good think about it, but here's a few that will go on the list:
Fiat Multipla (one of the most truly stupid looking cars of all time)
Porsche Cayenne
BMW X5 (possibly)
Ford Ka (possibly)
I've never seen the Ssangyong Rodius before now, but having seen it it probably will go on my list. By the way concept cars shouldn't count, this list should only be for amazingly ugly cars that car makers actually had the gall to release to the public market. Renault and BMW have been big offenders on this front recently.
I agree with most of the choices on this page, except the Aston Martin Lagonda (I think it's a striking OTT (in the good way) fantasy car, a bit like the Lamborghini Countach and I like it the way some people like cheesy old horror and sci-fi films) and the AMC Pacer (Wayne's World made that car cool, though the particular version shown in the picture is a bit ugly). I guess one man's trash is another man's treasure.

You've got a point, Stronghold, Explorer4x4 started the thread, the thing is nearly every concept car looks nasty. Maybe that's point of them, to scare people into thinking the world is about to turn into some dystopian futuristic nightmare, then they'll be relieved when the end product is less radical looking, then they'll be OK with buying it since it looks like it's actually turned out good compared to what it once looked like.
Even so it is quite hard to think of a list of 10 cars without leaving out so many equally awful old heaps.

Neptune, is the '88 Chevy C/K really more ugly than the contemporary F150? I mean, I own one (the F150), and I still find it a little ugly. The C/K, although it did improve quite a bit in '95, it was still a decent looking truck for all of that generation.
As for my top ten? I'm not entirely sure of that, but I know boxy or French isn't ugly enough for me (I like both boxy and French cars). Basically, anything noticiably deformed (like the Rodus). Oh, and the Mercedes-Benz CLS, I've just never been able to warm to it.

Well, I’ll put it like this; when I was growing up, the 1973 through 1986 Chevrolet C/K Series and the last year model 1987 Chevrolet R/V Series pickups were the best selling trucks GM ever had, GM over sold Ford and Dodge in the 1980’s because of that truck. The 1973 through 1987 "Rounded Line" pickups (their nickname) as they were called are also considered the most attractive and brawny of all pickups’ GM has made in it’s long history. Almost 10 Million of them were produced between 1973 and 1987. I loved and still love those trucks. I had gotten attached to it’s look. After all, the truck was produced for a full decade and a half, making it one of GM’s longest production runs. So when GM unveiled it’s replacement, the All-New 1988 C/K Series, its overall outward appearance was to say the least... "Awkward". During it’s first year of production, GM’s (full-size) truck sales dropped.
So I ask you, which one would you prefer?
The 1973 through 1987 "Rounded Line" model, or the All-New 1988 through 1994 model?
My most favorite of all Chevrolet trucks…
The 1973 through 1987 "Rounded Line" Chevrolet C/K and R/V Series
A truck I hated until it’s restyling in 1995.
All-New 1988 through 1994 Chevrolet C/K Series
I just never liked the grille (too plain), the interior was funky and I hated how GM didn’t carry over the sides that flared out on the 1973 through 1987 models. The truck didn’t have a personality about it, like it’s predecessor did. The new 1988 models’ had a cold, uniform look. While the older 1973 through 1987 models’ had a inviting, playful look (A look they still keep to this day).
