1982 Citroen BX type 1(orange indicator on the front, small bumpers)
1985 Citroen BX Break introduced
1986 Citroen BX type 2 (white indicators on the front, bigger bumpers, other rearlights)
1990 Citroen BX type 3 (black and red rearlights instead of orange, red and white)

Saxo

Launched around 1996:

(The Peugeot 106 was restyled with the same rear than the Saxo)

Restyled around 1999:

The sportive models (VTS, ...) had wider wheel arches.

Xantia

Launched in 1993, a little modified for the 1995 model, and restyled in 1998.

The first model had the Citroën logo on the hood, above the grill:

In end of 1994 (1995 model) they make it look more like the restyled XM:

A break was also introduced then.

In 1998 it was restyled:

XM

Launched in 1989:

I am not really sure, but I think that they added the turn indicators on front wings around 1991.

It was restyled in 1994:

I would rather say the Xantia restyle was around 1995. I saw Xantia's from 1994, and even some from early 1995 with the old badge's. I have owned a 1996 Xantia 1.9D X, that one was from March 1996 and was 'second series'.

In France it seems that this badge change was in 1994, maybe other coutries had the 1993 model for one more year?
About the restyling, you mean that it was in 1996 rather than 1998?

1993 Xantia type 1 (with badge on the hood)
1995 Xantia type 2 (with badge on the grille)
1995 Xantia Break introduced
1998 Xantia type 3 (other grille, other headlights, other rearlights white and red instead of black and red)

It perhaps can be confusing, modelyears for Citroën run from August untill July, so the 1995 Model is available from August 1994 untill July 1995.

The second restyle was indeed in 1998, that's correct.
