Have very considerately stopped revealing the Year of Manufacture and Engine Size when you look up a UK plate number (for free). So I guess that means we'll have to use the DVLA site to find those things out from now on
Although they use the DVLA database anyway, those sites are good for finding out the trim level and unlike the DVLA database you don't have to enter the correct Make name, so I started using just the RAC site. But now I'll (and we'll) have to use both

this is not really the good section, you could just post that in "general" (this section is rather for providing info, and in addition of that there is already a topic about licences plates)
(I could move the topic...)
What is the link for RAC? The one that I had (on imcdb links page) does not give anything free anymore, it seems

Sorry, I just thought the registration info sites fell under "links for idenification".
The link to the RAC site still works, you can still get the make and model info for free.

Well, they can go here, but to keep the contents of this section easy to use it is better to not have too much threads, hence the idea to only one thread per subject/make (or eventually model). But this is not much respected anyway
And as I said there was already a thread about licence plates.

I understand I don't mind this thread/comments being moved or added to another thread, I just thought I'd post it as a kind of bulletin.

That's quite a good site, it gives you a good range of info. Like the others it probably uses the DVLA database.
