Help ID'ing Unusual NZ Dodge

I am trying to ID an unusual New Zealand Dodge for the owner of this website. It is a 1955 Dodge Kingsway operated by the Wellington Free Ambulance. It appears to be a US based 1955 Dodge wagon, however the rear end appears to be US 1955 Plymouth. Can a US Chrysler expert or a NZ expert confirm this and whether they were NZ only or ex Canada or something completely different again. All I know is nothing like this came out of Chrysler Australia. For 1955-56 we had only minor facelift of US 1954 Dodges http://www.111emergency.co.nz/WFADodge.htm

It's a very nice set of photos (does the car still exist?). Being AU/NZ it's most likely not Canadian. Those cars were built and sold in Canada as Dodge "Mayfair."

A lot of Australia's "American" cars came from Canada instead of USA
