[Done] More pics from F.I.S.T. (1978, movie)
Published 27/03/2009 @ 15:30:04, By Ddey65
I promised you people more pics from F.I.S.T.(1978), and now I have them.

http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0077531/
http://www.imcdb.org/movie.php?id=77531

Since this movie is about a fictional trucker's union, based on the Teamsters, it deserves some trucks.

Among my first are a 1950-54 Fageol Super Freighter next to the somewhat anachronistic White 4000.

http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/5881/fistfageolsuperfreighte.th.jpg

I've also got a Mack B-77. That's the one on the left in the distance.

http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/4766/fistmackb77.th.jpg

The green one is a 1940-42 Ford C.O.E.

http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/8430/fist194042fordcoe.th.jpg

There's also a White-Freightliner cabover with flames painted on it.

http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/6505/fistwhitefreightliner.th.jpg

Don't mark this as "Done," because I'm not stopping.

Here's a Mack H-Series, possibly an H-67.
http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/5106/fistmackhseries.th.jpg
There's also a 1950-52 International Harvester next to it, but Image Shack didn't like me using it and the ampersand as part of the name, so I split it.

http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/8127/fist195052ihc.th.jpg

Another possibly anachronistic White next to a Mack cement mixer.
http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/7098/fistwhiteandmack.th.jpg

And the anachronistic White next to the Fageol. It may be a 4000 or it may be something else.

http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/7759/fistwhite4000.th.jpg

I'll keep posting more, and I'll keep hunting for more.

About the images above; These are all from the scene where the truckers start crowding up the streets of DC in support of Johnny Kovac(Sylvester Stallone) and other union reps, so they're about two stars each.

This time, I've got some cars. Here's a shot of the 1957 Ford used in the "grocery store robbery" scene. I admit it's not so good, but still visible enough that you can tell it's a '57 Ford. Two stars at the most.
http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/8085/fist1957ford.th.jpg

Now, I've got a shot of the 1958 Cadillac that takes Kovac to Congress before he's about to testify at a Congressional hearing on mafia involvement with the Union.
http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/4189/fist1958cadillac1.th.jpg

This one turned out like crap. Luckily I've got another one below.

http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/6148/fist1958cadillac2.th.jpg

I'd say two or three stars. I'd say the same for the 1956 Chevy driven by Kovac's lawyer on his way home.

http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/8105/fist1956chevrolet.th.jpg

Kind of dark, I know. But it was the best I could get. Don't worry, I'll get other vehicles from this.

If you can try to get a bigger pic for http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_42777-Imperial-Crown-Southampton-1959.html
The posted one in the site is nice but little.
Thanks

Edited: The maker of this one "There's also a White-Freightliner cabover with flames painted on it" http://img115.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fistwhitefreightliner.jpg is http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-White.html ?

Edited 2: updated vehicles except White up here waiting for confirmation

Edited 3: Could you get additionals pics for the 56 Chevy? I can't see well the side trim. I think it isn't a Bel Air but could be 150 or 210.
Thanks

More like one of these:

Edited 2: updated vehicles except White up here waiting for confirmation.

The other White might be another 4000, or something else.

I'm afraid this one is all I can get. I was also trying to capture a 1948-50 Ford F-7, F-8, or F-9, C.O.E. towing a flatbed trailer with a skid-steer loader that looked a little modern for the late-1950's.

I will send other pictures during the week, because I've captured a lot more of them since I submitted the ones above. Thanks a lot for uploading these and don't mark this done.

Okay, for my next round, I've got a nice red early-1950's Cadillac convertible of some sort. More will come after this post.

At this link, are two images of the 1956 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 Parlor Car owned by the mob boss Kovacs reluctantly deals with, and keeps trying to dissasociate himself from. Two stars.
http://img11.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=fist1956cadillacfleetwo.jpg

Here's an International Harvester C.O.E., but I forgot the name of it. Two stars for this one, since it's also during the strike in DC. I'm going to get some general pics of those.
http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/1928/fistihccabover.th.jpg
On your right, you'll also find a 1970's-looking skid-steer loader on the back of the flatbed towed by the 1948-50 Ford F-Series cabover that I mentioned earlier. I really wanted a shot of that truck.

And this is a 1954 Plymouth during the LA Chapter strike-breaking scene.
http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/3640/fist1954plymouth.th.jpg

And there are more vehicles in that scene than the Plymouth, but I'm not adding them now. I'm going to be adding them pretty much all week, however.

Thanks. I've also got a 1950-something Chrysler from the same strike-breaking scene as the '54 Plymouth:
http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/5482/fist1950schrysler.th.jpg

And a couple of Checker Marathons from DC.

More to come.

Hi Ddey in the site I saw a large car that Skywatcher68 confirmed me is a Checker Aerobus
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_221980-White-4000.html

Also cl82 asked for it
Is the red station wagon on the right one of those famous, huge Checker wagons which were only made in little numbers? I've never seen one of those so far.

Could you try to see again that scene and get a pic of the whole "Aerobus"?
Thanks

I'll give it a shot. There are some other cars I want to cover this week, including the Imperial Crown Southampton. I paused on it momentarily and considered capturing it, but I decided against it until you requested this one.

EDIT UPDATE: Unfortunatley, this shot of the Checker Aerobus was the only one I could get.

Bad news on that front. This one is all I could get.
http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/5038/fist1959imperialcrownso.jpg

On the other hand, I have a few more vehicles coming. Like this 1954 Chevrolet 3100 pickup during the LA Strike-breaking scene;
http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/3719/fist1954chevrolet3100.th.jpg
I couldn't see the grille that well, and I know there's a huge difference in the grille of the '54, compared to the others made after 1948, but this also has a one-piece windshield. I was actually trying to capture the blue trucks behind it, many of which I'm convinced are International Harvesters, and one I know for certian is an International Harvester Loadstar(another anachronism, since they weren't made until 1962).

Now, this one is a background vehicle, but it's a nice background vehicle.
http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/5332/fist1957buickcenturysta.jpg
1957 Buick Century Station Wagon. I originally wanted to post just the link, because it was part of a spoiler. But Image Shack decided to give me another hard time today, so I'm just going to add this;
http://yfrog.com/0pfistwheresjohnnytruckj

My next question before I send this back to Netflix; Are there any other cars and trucks that you know of from this movie that you want me to capture? If not, post them, mark this done, and I'll send this back and scan images from my copy of Beavis and Butt-head Do America.
