Muscle Cars Destroyed on Film

How many of you have watched an old TV show or movie and cringed as you watched your favorite Muscle Car get smashed beyond repair. If only they knew back then what those cars would be worth today.

What is the most desirable Muscle Car that you have seen destroyed on film? I will give better thought to this and post mine later. However, one that does come to mind is "The Dukes of Hazzard".

I wonder how many perfectly sound 1969 Dodge Chargers met their maker while filming that show? Of those, just how many were true R/T's and big blocks?

I was sorry to see a cherry '68 ram air, 4 speed GTO go off a quarry cliff in "The Last Ride". One consolation to all this is that if you look closely, the car that usually gets trashed isn't the same one you've been watching.
In "Vanishing Point" his R/T Challenger became a twisted '67 camaro after the crash. The 442 W30 in "Next Karate Kid" (identical to mine)suddenly became a Cutlass Supreme SX once it was set on fire.

I grew up watching the Dukes and remember reading every mag I could find with general lee coverage. I don't have any official statistics but I do know they used 10 cars per show and they ran whatever drivetrain combo came in them when purchased. Once they crashed one on a barn jump and you could clearly see the R/T emblem on the headlight cover, but it had been painted out flat black. Also, each car used for the show had a serial number etched in the bottom right of the rear glass.
