For the Hyundai luxury brand Genesis, could the default "Model Origin" be set as South Korea? Thanks!

I am updating the facelifted Bluebird’s chassis code manually since I am weeding through them. This entry, with a VIN, confirms the model code changed. https://imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=1048353#Comment3324912

Just wanted to let you all know so I don’t have to comment on each page.

I notice many Kia listed with EU as chassis code for 2nd gen cee'd/pro cee'd, but shouldn't it be JD?

About Toyota bB and Scion xB, since they are Materia's twins, shouldn't they be categorized under same Class?
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-Toyota_model-bB.html
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-Scion_model-xB.html

Yes, but isn't "Hatchback" the right class for the three?
I would have said that it is more a boxy hatchback than a van, like the Nissan Cube... but I see that we list these as van
What do other members think about these?

But I'm not sure about Move Canbus, does a kei car with sliding doors make it a MPV?
Same issue with Daihatsu Tanto

I don't know, either, MPV/van or supermini? They are both at the same time. Supermini category usually overrides the hatchback category, but for MPV vs supermini it is up to us to decide which one is more important.
I've put them as supermini for the moment as it was easier, but it can be changed if needed.

Yea, I actually think hatchback is more proper than MPV
Wiki said its Class is MPV, but body style is hatchback...

And Mercedes R-Klasse, some classified as wagon, some are MPV
I personally prefer the latter one, just like Toyota Wish
Guess we really need other members' opinion

Right now, the 1986-1990 Chevy Caprice non-Estate wagons are listed two different ways. Some are listed as Chevy Caprice and others as Chevy Caprice Wagon.

I think the best way to list these would be "Chevrolet Caprice" with "Classic Wagon" in the extra info line. This would list them so the name isn't clunky and would be as they are called in the brochures.

Unlike the sedans, all the wagons are Classics. The woodgrain ones have the Estate package, and have "Caprice Estate" badges, while the plain wagons have "Caprice Classic" badges. For the ones that are currently listed as "Caprice Wagon", the "Classic" is listed after, which isn't the order of the words.

That's my opinion on the matter. Chevrolet Caprice Classic Wagon

Haven’t studied them I would tend to agree to list all of them the same way. With regard to the nomenclature I tend to plead the 5th.

For searching purposes we should indeed list them all the same; at least the model name. The extra information can be tweeked depending on the package ordered?

Wasn't "Classic" part of the model name for some of the sedans? (or maybe that was for another generation?)

From 1973-1985, the model name was "Caprice Classic".

The ones prior were just "Caprice" (the wagons, from 1966-1968 were "Caprice Wagon").

In 1986, Chevy streamlined their fullsize models. The Impala was discontinued and replaced by the base "Caprice" sedan. At that point the "Classic" became a trim rather than a separate model, along with new trims "Classic Brougham" and "Classic Brougham LS". The wagons were only available in the "Classic" trim, with an available "Estate" package (with the woodgrain siding), that had separate "Caprice Estate" badges. The plain-sided wagons wore "Caprice Classic" badges.

Right now, half of the 1986-1990 wagons are listed as "Caprice Wagon", which puts the "Classic" in the extra info, so they show up as "Caprice Wagon Classic", which is the wrong order of the words. What I am asking is to make them match the other half, which is "Caprice Classic Wagon", moving the Wagon to the extra info line so the words are in the correct order. I would leave the "Caprice Estate" wagons alone, as they wear that as a badge (unless other posters think that they should be changed as well).

Here is the brochure from 1986:

Fixed those manually. Some were just plain Caprices.
