I am running a script to clean all the un-used pictures: remove those uploaded for posting in comments, but which are not (anymore) used in any comment.
It is quite heavy for the server to do that, especially the first time I run it.
So if the site seems slow in the next hours, it is normal.

In case the script removed something it shouldn't, i.e. if you notice missing pictures somewhere, please notify me!
(of course, I mean missing pictures of the new upload thing, i.e. those with a widescreen ratio thumbnail with a [pic=...] code)

... it might actually take a few days But it does not seem to cause problems to the site
