The 1964 film 'Kisses For My President' features a segment featuring a Jaguar D-Type.
In the film, the car is owned by a Central American dictator played by Eli Wallach. He is on a sight-seeing tour with the spouse of the first woman president, played by Fred McMurray.
When the car is introduced, Wallach's character is picking it up from a shop that has uprated the chassis and engine. After inspecting the car, Wallach takes McMurray for a wild ride, including erratic, high speed driving. He races a train and tests getting up to 90 mph and then stopping at a precise location in a short distance. They are pursued by the Secret Service during all of this.
The car looks like a race car, including a frameless racing windscreen and no taillights. However it does not have the headrest fairing usually seen on D-Type race cars.

Probably a 1959 Lister Jaguar - see discussion on that page.
