I am attempting to pick up some details between 1981 or later Dodge Diplomat/Plymouth Gran Fury

Has anyone noticed about the wheel well trim between those two models? One has the chrome trim around them and the other doesn't have them.

Comments/Rebuttal/Updates?

It's easier to see the differences side-by-side:

Diplomat has a black back-grille:



Gran Fury has gray:



Then they reverse it for the taillights.

Diplomats have the silver surround:


Gran Fury has black:
