This new trim level was to be upscale, luxurious, and enhance as well as promote, the Eddie Bauer Clothing® Company’s name. The company uses the trim level to further advertise it’s mark. The very first Ford vehicle to wear the "Eddie Bauer" name, appeared in 1984 with much success.
