There should be a list of the 10 most reliable car engines (or at lease engine that do not require a lot of maintenence.) If there was one though, the Japanese would take over most of the list. :grin:


Without a doubt the General Motors Small-block 350 V8 would have to go on that list. There was even a marine version of it that was made for boats. :smile:

I picked GM because I'm a die-hard fan. I also believe they stand the best chance against the imports. I have to say though that besides a couple vehicles (i.e. the Focus) and the Lincoln division I think Ford has a pretty nice lineup. Chrysler has never really had any vehicles that I would be envious of, with exception of the Magnum which they are killing. I also think that they are the weakest in terms of sales and financial stability.
