I don't mind listing movies without pictures. At least it identifies a movie to capture cars from that might otherwise be missed.

As somebody who has listed movies and other titles without images, I do mind. Considering my persistent inability to make screencaps, I'll settle for them, but it's not the ideal preference. As I type this message, I'm also watching Up the Down Staircase(1967), a movie I'd love to get screencaps from, and I'd also like to add some from Psycho Beach Party(2000), which I plan to watch after this.

In the case of Up the Down Staircase, every vehicle in that movie is a background vehicle, except for one; the GMC "New Look" bus that Sandy Dennis takes to Calvin Coolidge High School. There's also an A&P vending bicycle ridden by some of the kids, but since it's a bicycle it doesn't count.

Maybe I should write lists for these movies anyway.

I agree with Diehard. There are times I'll be watching a show or movie and I'll have my laptop with me...so as I see cars i recognize I'll add them. If I don't, then I'll search through car listings I think it is until I find one that matches. Usually I don't put years, but I'll put Make and Model and star info. I did that for the 3 seasons of Ghost Whisperer. Then I rented Season 1, filled in the spots. Now I have to rent Season 2 and we're almost done with Season 3 so I'll get that once it comes out.

I am fully in favour of pre listing the cars without an image, it makes a handy 'look for list' list. I cannot see the problem with that...

I mean that you are not the only user of the site:
You do not see the point of this, other do not see the point of chase field for cars, some do not see the point of listing video clips, etc.
Not all things of the site are useful to all people :spamafote:
And anyway there are now less than 3% of cars without image, it cannot harm so much I guess. There are probably more cars with image not worth listing
CarChasesFanatic
Well in thisd case you know because the car is american but in most of the cases youi wont know...

It is not because you do not see the point that it is not useful.

You always say to me some kind of sentence like that i dont see why :disapointted:

You have a list of Peugeot and an Oldsmobile. So you know that this strange wagon is the Oldsmobile
It is not because you do not see the point that it is not useful.

Something too long to be fully understandable

If someone wants to know which car David Nolande was driving in the series, at least he knows it as I listed the cars

It was understandable and i dont see whats the point of knowing which car he drives if i cant see it, sometimes it can even be confusing as you wont know which car it is by just looking at its name...

What have i just said? :kiki:

For what you don't understand, an example:

If someone wants to know which car David Nolande was driving in the series, at least he knows it as I listed the cars (the Oldsmobile is rather uncommon in French series :p)

You realize that you made a 4½-line sentence without any dot to cut it?

No: if main vehicles of the movie are listed it may help the one who wanted to know what was the vehicle used by a character.

We often had comments "why is car xyz not listed?" on a movie page, but never "why is car xyz without pictures?".

And if there are pages without picture it also indicates that work has to be done, so if I see a movie with some cars without pictures amongst the car with pictures, I'll rewatch it to complete. Else I will just think that all cars are listed.

No i didnt realise, you got exhausted when reading it i guess

About the second line, huh? i dont understand it, what would i'd like to know what car was used where if i cant see it?

We too have comments about Why is car Xyz without picture, dont tell me not :clindoeil:
