Here there is really not much snow, so getting stuck is not much a problem And losing control, yes, it is a risk, but everybody drives very slowly when there is snow as it is not usual.
Last weekend I was in the east of the country, where there is a little more often snow that in the centre (I know, it is a very small country, but the 200 km in distance and 400 m in height are enough for that), so I could drive in the snow...

(though that for you who are from Alaska, such low amount of snow is probably considered as "no snow" )
Ah yes, we do get quite a bit of snow up here..
I can't imagine people liking snow, especially driving in it! Very few people seem to like driving in the winters up here. Although I will say so far this winter has gone well as far as driving is concerned. I have new studded winter tires for my Tempo, and it just literally plows through the snow..
