I wish we had sandy desert terrain to 4x4 in, like they have in UAE / Dubai. Looks like fun, all we have in North Carolina is mud (and lots of it) I’d love to go desert running, get dehydrated and pass out, all that fun stuff.

sorry neptune, but except the scene a 2:30 this was no desert-off-road-drive at all. it was just gently strolling around on sandy ground.
So it was more off-road, when I stuck in the mud of the farmer's acre, when we bought our christmas-tree:

And really something different was our trip across namibia with such a car: http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_63284-Nissan-Frontier-D22-2001.html, especially the last 5 kilometers of that trip: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sossusvlei
yes, i know, the ford expedition is something holy for you, but you will agree, that its not a real 4x4-offroad-car, rather a lifestyle-suv.
the bmw x5 and the audi q7 arent offroad-cars either, not to use on real rough ground.
