Man, its been too long. I probably come back to the old IMCDb monthly to check up on any new Ford Tempo or Mercury Topaz rarities from the big screen, but I just can't help but get all nostalgic.

Now not that I'm expecting ya'll to care, but I'm pretty proud of what I've been up to. I've been commercial fishing these past two years, and last year I ended up actually being promoted to the CMFIC (that's chief monkey fighter in charge, for those not in the know) of my family's fishing operation. Under my hand, the company has seen its biggest profits in over a decade.

With those profits I bought myself a little treat. A glossy black 1990 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat, loaded to the hilt. Its got the twin traction beam suspension package with quad shocks up front, and good old fashioned Detroit lockers. Naturally it has the biggest of big under its expansive hood: a fuel injected 5.8L 351cid. Windsor V8, good for 220HP/360lb-ft of torque stock. Those 5.8s only came with one transmission option, and unfortunately, its not a manual. As for luxuries, you've got your A/C, power windows, power locks, light group, power lumbar support, fold out arm rest, CD player, and (after-market) a Viper remote start system with remote locks and a panic button.

As if the pictures didn't tell the tale, its also got...
Flowmaster Hushmaster side exhaust
K&N cylindrical intake system (adds 10WHP)
1992-1996 F-Series tail gate with custom LED light strip
Locking tool box
Brushed aluminum, billit-style grill
Heavy duty tow bar hitch
Custom mags riding on big old Mickey Thompson mud tires

The works. I've still got the old Tempo though, and at this point in time I've put over $5,000 into restoring it. Its got a long way to go, but its still my reliable and dependable daily driver. Just crossed the 100,000 mile mark too. I've had it for almost four years now, and I'm looking forward to many more to come.
