Second last Friday close to my village:

As it happens too often: a traffic jam, a sleepy truckdriver let the cruise-control run and don't look on the road.
13 cars were hit, 9 were burned, 3 people died. At first the police sais, that there were 2 people dead. The third one was found one day later, when the smashed Golf was cutted in pieces out of the truck-wreck.
The ambulances had more work, because there was a 15 km long traffic-jam for over 10 hours, and we had (still have) summer-temperatures with around 35 degrees, so several of the waiting drivers were collapsed.
This happened last year - I've passed that place not even two minutes before the crash in the other direction!

Incdredible idiots: 6 guys in a car, noone had worn a seat-belt, 4 died, 2 were heavenly injured. The must have been driving as hell, with over 200 km/h, so they haven't seen the two cars, standing after a slight accident -with hazard-lamps and warning-triangles- on the left lane. The driver tried to pass the accident on the emergency lane - but there stood the truck of a witness.
No reason for mercy.
