Sources: Willys Br homepage, lexicarbrasil.com.br and Wikipedia (the three of them in Portuguese), plus some ads and brochures. cj3b.info has a page about the Brazilian Jeeps, but even if linking to the Willys Br website, it gives incongruent (and unsourced) information...
_____

1955-67 Willys Jeep / 1968-83 Ford Jeep

• 1955:
The production of the Brazilian Jeep (Jipe, in Portuguese), based on the US 1954+ CJ-5, starts as assembly of CKD vehicles. In my (non-expert) eyes), this model shows no difference with the US model:

• 1957:
The local production starts, with 80% of locally produced parts. But if I'm not mistaken, no external detail can help differentiate the 1955-56 model from the 1957-61 one.

• November 1960 (i.e. 1961 model year):
A new model is unveiled: the 4-door Jeep 101, named after its 101"/2.57 m wheelbase. The 2-door version appears in September 1961 (1962 model year):

• 1962:
A new rear wheel arch shape for the standard model (see these 2 ads: 1961 model here, and 1962 here, as noted in the text):

• October 1967:
Ford do Brasil buy all shares of Kaiser and Renault. The 1968+ models became logically Ford Jeeps (a kind of return to roots? :wink: ):

• 1983:
End of the production of the Jipe...

About the make and model name:
• Like in the USA, the make name of the Jeep was Willys;
• Unlike in the USA, the make name didn't change in 1964, and stayed Willys until the take-over by Ford;
• Unlike in the USA, the CJ-5 info never appeared in Brazilian brochures nor in the ads, neither as model nor as chassis code. The vehicle was just called 'Jeep' Universal or more simply Jeep (see here or here).
