Still, I'm a bit sad with this takeover. I've never owned an Opel, but I always liked them (except in their 1998-2004 "cubist" period), and am still interested in the upcoming Insignia/Commodore/Regal sedan and wagon, even though the latter is bloody ginormous for our parking spaces. So the prospect of Opels with Peugeot "DNA" inside is a bit depressing.
Indeed, I like the look of the new Insignia but I was reading that the Estate is nearly 5metres long. The same goes for newer Mondeos, Superbs etc. I can't help but think that the sheer size of some of the cars in that sector is actually part of the reason that people buy compact executive type cars instead now which are much more popular and much smaller.
