G-MANN
I suppose Deeds is acceptable to Sandler fans. I have kind of a love-hate relationship with Sandler, I do like Happy Gilmore (definately his funniest), and The Wedding Singer, Billy Madison and The Waterboy were alright, kind of guilty pleasure films, but then sometimes I think he's a bit of a waste of space who makes far too much money, and when you think about his comedy it's pretty lazy and very lowbrow. I feel Deeds is probably one of his laziest, half-assed efforts and I've haven't even seen the Gary Cooper original so I can't get angry about it being an insult to the original. But I partly dislike it because I feel it makes Winona Ryder look really bad (it's her worst performance) and it happened about the same time as that whole shoplifting thing. Oh well, it's only a film (though not a very good one).
