When i first came here I my thoughts about background cars was different than it is now. I saw this site as a way to look up a movie and see what cars were used in it - not just the main car. I also saw it as a research tool for someone that might be doing a report on, let's say a Ford Tempo. How many movies really use a Ford Tempo as the main car...they're usually the background car. So, if we limit background cars, that might get rid of a bunch of Tempos. (which actually isn't really a bad thing )
I still feel that background cars are important.....as long as they're visible.
I agree that in a large parking lot, not to do a "pick one". But if there are maybe 5 cars that are visible and doing a "pick one" is OK. Like mentioned above, some cars aren't as common as others.
I think it goes back to being "visible" and how much of the screen it takes up.
G-Mann, I'm not picking on you (i've probably got a ton of cars that should be deleted)....but you have a Subaru DL in Sopranos that's one star. You mention it's in the opening, but only a part of the back shows. How does that fit into the rules that we're trying to establish?
