One thing, this isn't a correction, more an opinion: I think it would be worth getting rid of the quote marks around the names for American tanks. " M4 'Sherman' " to " M4 Sherman " and so on. I mean they were official names, on the manuals even, and the equivalent nicknames for German tanks, like the Tiger and Panther, aren't in quotes. If you search " M1 Abrams " on the site search function it doesn't show up, you have to enter it as " M1 'Abrams' " for the site to display results, and most people won't know to do that. It's not too big of a deal, but if it's something you want to change maybe now is the time to do it.

All American military "M", "T", and "XM" numbers don't have a dash or space. So "M4" is correct, "M-4" is not. There's also no space between "A" and "E" numbers, which denote specific versions, but I assume they are spaced on the site because of the way the categories work? "M4" and "M4A1" would be separate entries, but having it as "M4 A1" allows it to show up under "M4", correct?


The best resource I can recommend for identifying M3 Lees and M4 Shermans is http://the.shadock.free.fr/sherman_minutia/index.html There is enough information on that site to pinpoint any Sherman-family tank, as long as you have enough detail in the photos. I personally can tell apart most of the major versions (I still struggle with 75mm M4A2 vs M4A3), but I can't recognize the manufacturer by heart. It's possible to figure it out by using this site, but I don't have that much time to go through every single Sherman.

When there are multiple manufacturers for a version, the one that built the most tanks is in bold. So Alco is the default for base model M4s and Fisher is the default for M4A2s.

There were 3 versions of the M7 Priest: M7, M7B1, and M7B2. The M7 and M7B2 can only be told apart from transmission cover or from the rear engine compartment; The M7 was based on the hull of the M3 Lee, the M7B1 was based on the hull of the M4 Sherman. The M7B2 has the cannon mounted much higher up and is easy to spot. In this case, "Priest" is a nickname and was not official.

This is misidentified. The M51 was a dump truck, and also wasn't built by AM General. I would say move this to International Harvester M54, that's the basic cargo truck. You could also be pedantic and go with International Harvester M61, which was the basic chassis that all trucks of this family were based on, since this is a cartoon and it has some pretend thing on the back.
