Indeed with so many links to process, it is possible that I miss some 
for the M16 & M15, I remember going back as I renamed both the same way then saw the difference between the two numbers... I guess I modified the wrong one then
About using the code field for the unique ID of the vehicle, it is sometimes done for some vehicles (e.g. Rolls-Royce I think), it can still be used for special cases like this one, when there is no other specific model code for that make.
