For models as the browser remembers them, I usually just pick the value in the list displayed when typing the first characters. But if you have ideas...
The shortcuts with VW or Chevy were done mostly for when copy/pasting comments.
I added 'TR' by default for Tofas (even if it should maybe rather be 'IT'
but that will be for later, with double-origin possibility)
