Guys I know this was brought up again today. The brochures list the them both ways.
I know motor output always goes into extra information in the united states unless it is part of the model name but here are a few issues I bring up with the model name.
The brochures list them as CL, RL, & TL respectively: http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/acura/Acura_US20Line_1997.pdf
http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/acura/Acura_US20Line_1998.pdf
http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/acura/Acura_US20Line_1999.pdf
http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/acura/Acura_US20Line_2000.pdf
http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/acura/Acura_US20Line_2001.pdf
The parts site labels them as CL, RL, & TL: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/acura - search under Acuras name and click on the the specific year (I chose anything after 1995)
So I am not sure how we handle this. I think the model name would be just RL, CL, TL but when Honda adds the name in front on certain sentences it makes it confusing.
