Yesterday, when I drove back from a visit of my parents, there was a 1999 Toyota Corolla on the A2. This is not too extraordinary - but that the driver tried to keep pace with my Durango. Up to 180 km/h he could a bit, but of course not, when I used my favourite gimmick: the kickdown

On the oncoming lane I spotted a real rarity: a mid size crane truck, based on a Tatra 815.
It was in the far West nearby Dortmund, so unlikely, that's a leftover from DDR-times.
Most likely it was a leftover from the Simex dealership, which existed until 1997 in the next town to my village:
