Some models from the last few months - all 1:43, mostly ebay scavenging plus a couple from my first visit to a model shop in nearly 2 years. Very few model shops still around in Scotland after several closures in last few years, and we haven't had a swapmeet since the covid buglies arrived.
- two neat Fords - IXO Escort CLX estate; Vanguards Lotus Cortina "Colin Chapman's car" - we have a film sighting
- Minis from Spark and Maxichamps - both are better in the metal than onscreen
- Land Rover Tickfords by Oxford Diecast - a surprise choice for a new casting as very limited possibilities, but charming depictions of this stumpy shape. One on left is actually 2-tone but barely visible
- racy Minichamps Opel - not normally my thing, but it was a bargain with lots of detail
- 1990s Spridgets from DetailCars (Midget club racer) and Exem (Frogeye roadster with Alexander Tuning sports kit and PBL 75 plate)
Have also been collecting Oxford's interesting range of Crayford Cortina Mk2 convertibles, but no picture this time.
