Haha, I just logged in the forum to show also that link
@marioman: it was filmed in England. In the German translation, they said it, and the Fiat Uno had also an British plate.
@wasserspeier: since a lot of years I've an open bet with annother old-car-freak. After a lot of beers, with drunken heads, we had decided to meet illegally on an military trainings-area, to make our own crash-rallye. Everyone brings a rotten, but roadworthy car with him.
We couldn't reach an agreement, which car will be stronger and will survive the other one, a VW K 70 or an Opel Rekord C.
By the way: this guy and some of his friends really had made such things in the past: they picked up old cars for free or for a little bit of money, and they made their private crash-rallyes on these mailitary-areas (the big ones in Northern Germany aren't fenced).
And when the cars were destroyed, they just let them lying on the ground - for the fun of the tank-troops of the Bundeswehr. Within the following 2 or 3 days, their cars got a maximum height of 20 cm.
No kidding, it's a true story.

Thanks. That's my neighbor's Expedition. You are correct, it is an Eddie Bauer. I think it's a 2005 model.

Doesn't Russia use only characters common between Cyrillic and Latin in its plates?
It does now, yes, but according to License Plates of the World Kazakhstan is the only one of the breakaway 'stans to use all-Roman characters since the 1992 break-up. Note the Fs which seem to be a regional code: F never existed in Cyrillic.

if you need to push or pull the car (either by hand or with another vehicle), or if you want it to go freely in a slope. Or if you stop on flat ground and do not want to keep your feet on the brake (as I guess that P is for when the motor is turned off? I never drove an automatic so I am not sure)

Right. "P" applies a parking brake, in addition to (or instead of) the normal parking brake. Therefore, when in "P" you cannot push/pull the car. So they made "N" to let the car's wheels move freely.
Also, you can put the car in "P" while the motor is on (just not while it's moving, as that will wreck the transmission). In fact, it is normal procedure to put the car in "P" right before turing the ignition off.

Also, I noticed on that DTS in the video that the gas filler was in a very strange spot, above the rear wheel.
But I have seen stranger. Just yesterday I was at the gas station when a 1995 Caprice pulled in to fill up, and guess where the filler was? Behind the license plate! Weird huh?

And also a non-crappy one
But it was with a sequential gearbox, so no "p" position (but a handbrake), if I remember well.

Wasn't that quite common on US cars?
I think that here the Peugeot 403 had that, it is quite unusual on European cars.

I know this was quite common on larger British Fords, Consuls, Zephyrs etc. Maybe on some of the German Taunuses too, I don't know

Some Mercedes, for example (W114/115], [W 108/109]had the filler beside the back plate.
The DAF's had also the filler behind the back plate.
The Opel Kadett C had it behind the vent of the C-pillar.
For fill a Trabant and early VW Typ 1, yo had to open the front hood.
