The stock rims needs to go right away!

Chrome rims is ugly as hell if you ask me, something I like though is black rims with a thin red edge or black rims with a deep polished "edge" (don't know the word for it)

Examples:
http://www.z1auto.com/images/te37timeattack.jpg

http://www.motortopia.com/files/15173/journal/499b1a528fdb9/Rims2together.jpg

I think it could fit you car but you probably need to lower it some inches to make it look good (it doesn't look good in the hight you have now)

I wouldn't put any spoiler on it, it looks much better clean.

About the grill; I think it would be nice with something that looks just like it but without the Acura logo, also to make it look more clean.

Xenon would be nice indeed, but the whole headligh assembly should be of "clear lens" type.

I would keep the original tail lights though, aftermarket stuff usually looks like crap.

Summary: Lowered with new rims and grill.

My 5-cents.

Well, if you're asking my opinion, I say forget all that junk and get a supercharger. That's really not what you're interested in though, is it?
Intake and exhaust won't hurt the car's reliability at all, that kind of thing just increases the engine's efficiency. I would recommend against getting a custom exhaust system in your case, they're rather expensive and it probably wouldn't increase power very much without doing a lot of other stuff as well. If your goal is just to sound cool, you only need to replace the muffler.
The wheels, if you want the car to look good, absolutely get anything else, those hubcaps are not flattering. I don't know about black wheels on a white car, it's a matter of taste, but I think it's too much of a contrast.
There's a lot of forums that could help you find whatever you're looking for, and CarDomain seems to have a lot of KA9 RLs.
I think you mentioned a mesh grill? here's how that looks. I think the JDM headlights look really good.

My opinon-wheels from a newer model Honda, and not much else. (not a fan of custommization-no offence). But bright/powerful xeon headlights would also looks cool. maybe lower it a touch?

There's My two cents (not as much as atom, as I didn't say as much

I would repair those small paint "points", aside from that i wouldn't put new exhaustes, i wouldn't change those nice rims that fit nicely to the car by another horrible big ones, as you say, just repair the scratches on the current ones so they look newer (though i don't think i'd waste money repairing that, plausaible is that you will scratch them again with a curve), please no spoilers for a car like that, no body kits either... and..., don't tint the windows, about the xenon, well, as long as that doesn't mean changing the headlight for a completely different one i guess it could look good and make the car have a newer look but even if so... :ohwell: , as for the grill just leave the one you have it's nice the way it is i don't see any need for a new one, as for the LED tail lights i'm not sure how that would fit, it would probably look nicer as long as the headlight itself stays the way it is, but even if so i'd still leave them just how they currently are, they look nice now.

So to sum up, and of course this and what i said before is just my personal opinion i would leave the car just the way it is now, stock, you have a really nice big car which many people would dream to have (that includes myself  ) so like you said on the video just spend that spare money on a travel to San Diego, you'll redeem it more than if you buy parts for your car which doesn't need them

Hope that was of help

Current wheels do not look good, with these hubcaps. I'd rather try to find some Acura rims which may have been available on higher trim levels of that model (or on other models).

My opinion, maybe do a little bit of fixing the paintwork and anything else that needs mending (although it looks like it's in excellent condition) but don't bother with trying to "modify" it, the xenon headlights sound OK but some of the other things on that list (spoiler, exhausts, air intake and why put a rear wiper blade on a sedan?) will make it look horrible (my opinion). Perhaps you're not talking about really drastic modifications (like a massive ricer spoiler) that would make it an eyesore but I don't think it's the kind of car that really suits being modified (it's a large, straightlaced luxury Japanese sedan, not a hatchback or coupe). Personally I think most overly modified cars look awful. My advice is to save your money and eventually put it towards a car you really want. Or spend it on something else, unless you really know what you're doing and what you want, I wouldn't bother tarting up that car, it looks fine as it is. If you really want new rims, just get something tasteful and not too flashy, at least it already has alloys, plastic hubcaps are crap.

Sorry atom, but I generally think, that only original alloy- or sport-rims are looking o.k., if you really want to change them. All others are looking like aftersales-market-junk, typical for young boys from the countryside.

I would never mount a lowering kit, harder suspension and low section tires. Except, that it looks stupid, it makes no sense. It's very uncomfortable, you cannot load the same amount of luggage in the car and you cannot use any streets any more. And it's not good for the life of the car, the harder suspension.

If I would do any tune-up with my cars, I always would do something with the engine, that it has more power, more acceleration and a higher top speed. And if you do this, the show-effect is much bigger, when the car looks from the outside for nothing.

So I suggest, to make investation in the technic and let the rest untouched.

@ingo my examples was not intended for someone in your age

I would not recomend any tuning to the engine if you don't know what you are doing. If something happens to the engine it will be VERY expensive.

@ingo again, the word for a car that looks original on the outside (or like a junker) but have a really tuned engine is called a "sleeper". If you ask me thats the coolest of the tuned cars.

Thanks everyone. I have read all of your comments so far. I haven't done anything to the car yet, but I found a rear spoiler on Ebay for the car I have.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trkparms=algo=LVI&its=- I&otn=2&item=300312664829&category=33638&viewitem=

It has fiberglass finish, and yes it's black, but I would have this painted the same color as the car (the same color code), and then have it installed. I never thought of putting in a supercharger like blackice RS said, so I wouldn't do that. I have been on cardomain and I've seen many of those cars however. I like some of them. No offense atom, but I don't think black rims on my car would look too good. I like your suggestions CCF. The rims do look good to some, but a lot say they can be replaced, like marioman3138 said, buy rims from a newer Honda (or Acura). I thought of putting on 18 inch Acura factory rims from one of the newer Acura models. I have even considered getting the stock rims chromed if I don't get new ones. I do know if I get larger rims the ride will be rough, The speedometer and odometer will not be as accurate, and if heavier, somewhat lower gas mileage and not as good handling. If I get new rims, they will be chrome. And G-Mann, I didn't mean get a rear window wiper blade, I meant just a rubber blade that's between the window and the trunk lid.

I still have time to think about it, but I am still debating on all of these mods. At the very least I want xenon headlights, paint touch ups (depending on the price), and instead of a new exhaust system, maybe just get chrome exhaust tips.

Call me a square, but I think it looks fine just how it is. I really like things stock, the most modifying I feel comfortable doing to my cars is a pine-tree air freshener on the rearview mirror

I suppose a steering wheel cover or floor mats would be ok as well (I know that's not exactly what you're talking about but it came to mind). I had both in my '87 Honda, they had The Simpsons one them. Maybe you can find some that have a theme you like, such as a TV show, movie, or character(s).

But that's just me, do what you'd like

You could say that they're boring in any case but not that they do not look good... and they're not hub caps but alloys.

These are the rims that I am considering:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-ACURA-TL-RIMS-CHROME-WHEELS-NICE-TREAD-18-INCH-TIRES_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3- a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem35a15ea- 95cQQitemZ230340602204QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Somewhat expensive, but I'm looking into it. Still, no guarentee I'd buy something like this. And yes, I also have an account on Acura-Legend.com, (username 1997 3.5RL) but I don't go on it all the time.

Those are nice, but are you sure you want to spend that much? Shouldn't you be saving up for university or something? I've got to admit since I use a different currency I don't know if $1200 is worth to an American what £1200 is worth to a Brit (of course in the currency exchange pounds are worth more than dollars).

By the way I reckon the stock rims are the same as the ones that were on the Rover 800 (and maybe the 600 which was the sister of the Honda Accord), when Rover and Honda were together (and Acuras are rebadged Hondas).

Yes, that's true, but I'm not going to a university after high school. I'm going to a community college and then after 2 years transfer to one. I do remember tuition money when I do think about these mods. Community colleges are much cheaper and much easier to get into after high school unlike universities, and I am not in any Honors or AP classes which are highly advanced classes for student that will go straight into a university.

Waaah, that's disgusting! Are you a smoker or is your car full with stinky mould? These are the reasons to put this stuff in the car.
These air freshener are so awful. When I see some hanging (they aren't not so popular any more like i nhte past) in a car, I'm always thinking "Who smells worse, the driver or the car?"

P.S. There is a lovely scene with these air fresheners in a movie with Walter Matthau and Jack Lemon (I cannot remember the English title, but it's in the database). Matthau's car is full with these after Lemmon had put as a revenge for something a dead fish under the seats.

In 1997 I had bought a rotten K 70 as all-day-car from an older couple, both strong smokers - but the air freshener (vanilla) was much worse. No kidding, it was the first thing, I've thrwon out. I had to let the car standing outside with open windows for several days, until it was getting a bit better.
After some months of daily using, I haven't used the car any more and have stored it in my garage. 4, 5 weeks later I had opened the doors again - and the disgusting chemical-vanilla-smell went back!
Later on I'd wrecked the car. The seats, stored in a board with other K 70-upholstery, holded the smell for some more months!

P.S.
My K 70 is pimped. I really made an electronic tune-up.

I have mounted in my car from 3/73 the clock from the 7/73+ version. This clock has a swep hand.

@Max: a propos floor mats (I don't like them in cars, but this is annother thing): my brother-in-law is a big Homer Simpson-fan. He has the mat "Homer. Sweet Homer" in front of his house.

I don't like air freshners nor steering wheel covers nor floor mats that aren't the ones the car had originally, all those things are quite tasteless.
