I guess we can rename them if nobody disagrees... I'll still ask Exiv96 to comment on that subject, as he knows Japanese cars pretty well.

If no one objects I would like to start commenting on these to update the model name. At the same time I can fix any Trim or year ranges

Well it is not useful to comment those for which I can do the renaming using few rules. We just had to find what are the rules  e.g. if we have to add Civic in front of all CRX, it is easy. Then few (japanese) would have to be modified one by one. For me it is easy to first do the mass-change.

Example:
On several 80s Nova you said "rebadged Toyota so the origin isn't USA. Should be Origin: Japan, Built in USA made for USA"
If there are around 10 cars or more, it is faster for me to change country of all the Chevy Nova with year >=1985 instead of editing them one by one

ah I didn't know that you could do that based on year (I thought you could only do the whole list) I am sorry, had I known you could do it that way I would not have commented on every 85+ Nova.

For this It would probably be easiest to make all CRX "Civic CRX" and then the few that are different can be changed.

1st gen CRX (84-87)were badged Civic CRX in Europe. In some market they were sold as "Civic Coupé CRX".

The second gen (88-92) was badged and called CRX only, all over Europe

3rd gen were badged Civic CRX, catalogs are talking about CRX or Civic CRX. As far as I know, in Germany only, was CRX Del Sol. In France, and from 1996 to 1998, were called CRX vtec (new transmission, lether seats, airbag, alloy wheels...)

In Japan the CR-X existed only in very early models, which were "Ballade Sports CR-X

Some original catalogs from Europe

bref I have to disagree with some of those statements, while the second gens were only badged as CRX in Europe (same as US) I have owners manuals and brochures from European counties that list it as Civic CRX. and as for the CR-X only being on the Ballade Sports in Japan I also know that this is wrong as I have a rear taillight garnish on my 1991 that was brought back from Japan and has CR-X on it.

Naming of this kind of models has always be a problem anyway.
See the Renault Mégane Scénic: depending on the year and where you look (registration, badges, manual, commercial documents, etc.) that changes...
