The previous generation of yaris was recently available at 1:43 so I still have hope 
Maybe. But just after I first read your post a few days ago, I learned that Bburago will also release a 1/43 GR Yaris. So will Majorette at a smaller scale. Something already done by Tomica. This looks like a "tree that hides the forest" situation, with scale model manufacturers choosing the wilder GR Yaris rather than the standard ones.
A new and interesting Majorette : the Isuzu D-Max. 2WD single cab pickups aren't very popular over here, but they're everywhere in Thailand, where Majorettes are made.

Frustrating it is a cross model rather than the regular one, it even seems to be right color (or close to it)
