Not really funny by itself but...

Proof that JDM vehicles were popular in the Russian Far East even in the 1940s. Nissan 180 in the car park of a kolkhoz in Buryatia in 1948.

Must have been one of those cars our/Manchurian Army officials rode around that were captured by the Soviet horde in the last days of the War :wam:

Apparently that's how the last surviving Toyoda AA ended up in a Siberian farm, and I'm sure this Datsun has a similar backstory...

David

From a certain social media group of JDMs... While not inherently funny, this R34 that's supposed to go on an auction in Japan tomorrow fits my self-admitted terrible taste for Itashas too perfectly... :bave:
Too bad it's apparently a GT-X and not a GT-T or a GT-R :ohwell:

Similar to night cub's yellow van, meet the really exclusive, 2 and a half door, about 5 wheels Buick Cascada ( no idea what its doing here but my cousin saw one with a Québec plate, and you can find a bunch of them for sale on Google )

A GM failure - very rarely sold. The most Cascadas I saw as O Series Cars on the Opel Testground before its introducion.
We had a convent there from the German Classic Car organisation DEUVET back then.

Later on the road only very rarely. There are more Tigra, Astra F Cabriolet and of course Astra H Twin Top to spot.

what makes it even more exclusive here is that it wasn't officially sold in Canada

But from what i understand you could buy it from an american Buick dealership ( or maybe even Buick's US website ) and get it shipped to Canada ( very probably at extra $$$ )

just that you have to remember once you take the wheel of your exclusive convertible that the speedometer is in MPH

My brother leased one. He wanted a convertible to replace his Infiniti convertible that was coming off lease. He didn't like it as much as the Infiniti. Replaced it with an Acura TLX.
