Well I'm not so sure about famous, but certainly one of the most popular. Undgeround really upped its popularity, even if for me it never won me over. Excessively tuned cars just never do it for me.

Ya, it isn't the best either. The best street racing game is by far Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix. And the best demolition racing game is the FlatOut series, and for serious racers Project Gotham Racing 2 and 3.

I do not know these, but for me the reference in demolition racing stays Carmageddon 1 & 2, and the old Destruction Derby. I'd like to play Burnout 3, though, unfortunately they do not made a PC version.

Need For Speed could be better, but it is still good nonetheless for the licensed cars on offer. It has also been too EAified just like Burnout. As far as destruction games go, Flatout is definitely up there with the best, especially Flatout 2. Burnout will always trounce just about anything for me though, but strictly that is an arcade racer rather than a destruction game. Antp, I own all of the destruction derby games
Destruction Derby
Destruction Derby 2
Destruction Derby Raw
Destruction Derby Arenas

I just like to play my Need for Speed III
30/08/2006 @ 21:47:50: antp: IMCDB games name
I did not like Destruction Derby 2
It was too fast, not as funny as the first one where hitting other cars was more a matter of precision
30/08/2006 @ 22:30:09: Star Wars Fanatic: IMCDB games name
Destruction Derby Raw was slower but Arenas was too cartoony...

Ya, what sucks about Midnight Club is that there is not one Ford Motor Company car (no Mazdas, Land Rovers, Volvos, Fords etc.) But customization is awsome. You can modify every inch of your car, even right down to computer chips. Also, I love the SUVs. Like the GMC Yukon Denali.
The things I hate about Midnight Club, and the early Grand Theft Auto games is that the cars all drove so fast! I like to control my speed. You gently tap the controller, and you slam forward hitting 70MPH in Midnight Club. Flatout 1 and 2 were both excellent (I like the origenal best though). Other good (fun) car games were Crazy Taxi, Ford Racing 3 and Ford vs Chevy.

I haven't played any of the Ford Racing games as I heard they were a bit average. I agree about the speed problem - hopefully there will be a lot more discussion in the IGCD forum that will be put up

I had a "Ford Simulator" game from 1989-1990 in my old computer. I remember there was a Ford Tempo
31/08/2006 @ 12:02:00: Star Wars Fanatic: IMCDB games name
Oh I've seen some screenshots of that one. Looks very amusing, though thinking about it I have played the original Ford Racing on PS1 which wasn't particularly exciting.

Was there a Tempo???? In Grand Theft Auto, there is a Tempo. And, in Ford vs Chevy there is a Telnack designed Mustang (similar to Tempo).
About Ford Racing 3, it is a medium game. A smaller amount of cars. But it has more extra activitys then any other video game.

Which car in GTA represents a Tempo?
01/09/2006 @ 05:44:39: qwerty_86: IMCDB games name
I don't recall a Tempo in GTA either. You're probably thinking of the small two-door which is a Dodge Aires.
01/09/2006 @ 12:24:17: Raul1983: IMCDB games name
Yes
and Topaz, Festiva, Crown Victoria etc. In fact every Ford Motor Company product (Ford, Lincoln, Mercury). Funny thing was that it didn't matter whether you drove Festiva or Grand Marquis because all cars behaved the same way

I gotta get that game! Oh, and no the Manana was the Aries (right?). There is a car, I think it was the Primo (might be another one I am thinking of) that resembled a Tempo. But it might have been another.
02/09/2006 @ 05:14:45: qwerty_86: IMCDB games name
I thought that was a Renault 25? It was definitly too big to be a Tempo. I recall there was a Dynasty.
05/09/2006 @ 11:35:04: Star Wars Fanatic: IMCDB games name
Offtopic but are the Ford Racing games any good? I was considering getting Ford Racing 3 since it has been mentioned here a lot, but there was a newer "Ford Street Racing" that came out last year...

That is a good resource, but the pictures arent terribly exciting. More importantly, there are watermarks on the image so I may set another rule when the site is up about avoiding images with watermarks, if possible. Of course you can edit them out if you want.
