How do you tell the model year and trim level of a Chevrolet Corsica? I know two people with Corsicas, but there is no trim level designation on either, and the owners know nothing about them except that they are Chevy cars. I have pictures:

How do you tell what year and trim these two Corsicas are? And Corsicas in general? Once again, they've got no trim level badges and the years are unknown to the owners.

In appearance, the differences are the side trim and the colors.

It came in base and LTZ trim levels. Some years, the base model was labelled LT.

Run the VIN number on Carfax and it'll give you the year and trim level for free.

blue one with no hubcaps is a base, and the lighter one is a '95-'96 base.

They made a rare hatchback from 1989-1991. Interiors on 1991-1996 models are rounder and have an airbag. Door mounted seatbelts are found on 1990-1992 and 1994-1996 models. 1988-1990 models have smooth tail lights with a Chevy bow tie in the middle 1991-1996 models have ridged lights. Cars with DTRL and body-colored grille and side trim as well as a rear Corsica logo that is white are 1995-1996 models. 1994 models have the black trim and grille as well as the older Corsica logo but share the same wheel cover design as 1995-1996. 1988-1989 Corsicas either have a 2.0 4-cyl or a 2.8 V6. 1990-1996 have a 2.2 or 3.1 liter engine. 1994-1996 have a 4-speed auto. Trim levels are harder. From 1991-1994 all Corsicas I believe are LT's. 1995-1996 models didn't have a trim. LTZ models are generally the ones with alloys. In 1988 there was a super rare XT model which has a rear spoiler and leather interior.
