They are maybe a little small in width/height, but that may depend on the original size of the movie that you have (if you set the zoom to 100% does it have that size?)
You also have to hide your mouse cursor, cf

I was erring on the side of caution, sizewise. I'll set the zoom to 100% next time. I will also make my mouse cursor behave in future too.

What program do you use btw? Some allows you to save picture, which is easier than making a screen capture that you have to cut later.

I'm on an Apple PowerBook G4 using Snapz Pro X, cutting as I capture.

Then I cannot help you as I only know PC programs. Though that you may try Video Lan player (VLC) to use it as media player, it offers a functionnality of saving current video frame (doesn't your player have that somewhere in a menu?)
