That's the name of the factory, not the model

But the car is not 1974, is it?
29/12/2011 @ 16:12:52: Gomsel: Non-Unidentified Vehicles
By the plate, YES. It's for my province, right? this plate are correct for the Chevy. Different for the Torino in the same movie.
Sorry, but it's difficult if you don't know the register plates. I have the same trouble, but until today.
29/12/2011 @ 18:56:23: antp: Non-Unidentified Vehicles
You mean that this number is registered to a Chevy?
Because in movies we very often have fake plates...
29/12/2011 @ 19:28:04: Gomsel: Non-Unidentified Vehicles
Yes, for sure, it's for the Chevy. For the Chevy and the 1977 Ford Falcon are real... but the plate of the IKA Torino are for a 1980 car (circa this year). And the car of the movie are more older (previous 1976, in 1977 change the front badge).

I removed the "series" thing on the Renault 14 as it does not really make sense, it was just a restyling, not a new model with the same name, so years are enough for that. However you say series 1 but it was previously identified as series 2, i.e. 1980+ ... what year do you suggest then?
To me it looks more like the 1980+ one
30/12/2011 @ 14:59:01: Sandie: Non-Unidentified Vehicles
The Mercedes is not a pre 1999 model as far as I can tell so the 2001 one plate is a fake.
31/12/2011 @ 01:25:22: Gomsel: Non-Unidentified Vehicles
And why put Série 1 or Serie 2 in other models before? for what models of Renault are valid?

- I just put according the plate.
31/12/2011 @ 12:03:23: antp: Non-Unidentified Vehicles
"series", "mk", etc. thing should be used either when the maker itself use numbers to separate different models (usually English cars) or when two generation of a car keep the same name. For example the Twingo didn't use them despite the small restyling, until the new one was released in 2007.
Or the Renault 5: there were different restylings, but the "series" thing is used to separate the original Renault 5 from the "supercinq" of the 80s which was a completely different car also called Renault 5.
