According to Wikipedia, Kaiser also produced them, and these were renamed to Kaiser-Jeep in 1963. But IH should be used as default one except if we know exactly which one from the list it is.
yes but since this change happened in 1963 the trucks have been build "Produced 1951–1965" which means only about 2 years of Kaiser-Jeep which means were few are likely to be that
the US military giving contracts to multiple producers, a good way to keep multiple mouths fed
